Notes

'Queen of Hamburg' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Queen of Hamburg') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The extra large flowers open in bright, gleaming pink in late midseason. Strong, tall stems hold them up, and the heavy, dark green foliage looks good all season. Hans Peter Sass bred it.

Pairs well with Sedge, Black Hero tulip, and Love-in-a-mist.
