Notes

'Rag Doll' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rag Doll') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double, pale pink blooms have a lavender cast and open in early to mid spring. Muryl Kostiuk bred it, and the color does not fade in sun. Its strong stems hold one bud each, and the red young foliage adds early interest.

Pairs well with Gooseneck loosestrife, Dalmatian bellflower, and Sensitive fern.
