Notes
Rain lily (Zephyranthes candida) is a bulb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. White flowers, sometimes blushed with pink, open in summer and again in autumn. The clumping plant stays 6 to 12 inches tall and tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Society garlic, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Silver sage.
Native range
Northeastern Argentina, southern Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
