Notes

'Rainbow Tint' peony (Paeonia 'Rainbow Tint') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Light yellow or cream blooms have carmine-pink edges and dark red flares in early to late spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies visit the flowers, and Derek Irvine bred this peony.

Pairs well with Greig's tulip, Cat mint, Weigela, and Big bluestem.
