Notes

'Red Balloon' lantanaphyllum viburnum (Viburnum rhytidophylloides 'Red Balloon') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows about 71 to 94 inches tall and wide, so give it room. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Royal Purple smoketree, Festiva Maxima peony, and Grape hyacinth.
