Notes

'Red Glow' peony (Paeonia 'Red Glow') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The flowers have black flares and open in early to late spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Blue fescue, and Greig's tulip.
