Notes

'Red Hot Babe' peony (Paeonia 'Red Hot Babe') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, brilliant hot pink-red flowers draw butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Nate Bremer bred it, and the petal shape changes from year to year.

Pairs well with Limelight hydrangea, Switchgrass, Woolly yarrow, and Stargazer lily.
