Notes

'Red Select' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Red Select') is a small tree for specimen, accent, and woodland use. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows slowly into a broad shape that reaches 6 to 10 feet tall and 8 to 15 feet wide. Red flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees and birds. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Rising Sun Texas redbud, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Casa Blanca lily.
