Notes

'Red Spider' peony (Paeonia 'Red Spider') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The red flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Bloom time runs from early to late spring and again in summer.

Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Globemaster allium, and Foxglove.
