Notes

'Red Wonder' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Red Wonder') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fuchsia red flowers have a Japanese anemone form and sit on straight stems. Maurice Ménard bred it, and some years the petaloids end in a gold point.

Pairs well with Woolly yarrow, Great blue lobelia, and Ostrich fern.
