Notes
'Redcliffs' peony (Paeonia 'Redcliffs') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Bright rose-red blooms are fragrant and draw butterflies and bees. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.
Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Black Hero tulip, and PowWow White coneflower.
