Notes

'Redruth' peony (Paeonia 'Redruth') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Light red blooms with white highlights open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Foxglove, Blue fescue, and Damask rose.
