Notes

'Regent' peony (Paeonia 'Regent') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The almost perfectly double flowers are yellowish, suffused with red, and open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Blue fescue, and Hinoki cypress.
