Notes
'Reien' celosia (Celosia argentea 'Reien') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and accents. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Red to scarlet blooms appear in summer and again in autumn, and they draw butterflies and bees. It blooms earlier than most celosias and has dark red foliage. Deer tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with Vinca, Chocolate daisy, and Cornel dahlia.
