Notes

'Requiem' peony (Paeonia 'Requiem') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Waxy white single blooms have a high golden center and a fragrant scent, and they attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Saunders bred it in 1941.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Annabelle hydrangea, Little bluestem, and Stargazer lily.
