Notes

'Rhapsody' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rhapsody') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The pink flowers have a Japanese form, and the narrow center petals are yellow flushed pink. It blooms at mid season and has stiff stems. Edward Auten, Jr bred it in 1956.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Smooth hydrangea, Sensitive fern, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
