rhododendron

Notes

Rhododendron (Rhododendron glanduliferum) is a shrub for fragrant spring color, shade gardens, and woodland borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. The large leaves emerge shiny and bronzy-red, and they grow bigger in shade. It forms a large, upright shrub, so give it a sheltered spot with room to grow.

Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Oregon grape, and Endless Summer hydrangea.
