Notes
Rhododendron (Rhododendron lanatum) is an evergreen shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun or part shade and average moisture. Maroon spotted sulfur yellow flowers open in late spring and the plant grows 36 to 120 inches tall and wide. Rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Its evergreen leaves keep a hedge full all year.
Pairs well with Oregon grape, Mondo grass, and Euonymus.
