Notes

'Right Smart Pretty' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Right Smart Pretty') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double pink blooms open in late spring with harvest yellow staminodes poking through. Each strong stem carries two to three buds. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and the flowers have no fragrance.

Pairs well with Iris, Incrediball hydrangea, Spanish bluebell, and Sensitive fern.
