Notes

'Roaring Meg' peony (Paeonia 'Roaring Meg') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Rose-pink blooms with cream undertones and short dark red flares open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies visit the flowers, and Derek Irvine bred this peony.

Pairs well with Blue flag, Mock orange, and Jackmanii clematis.
