Notes

'Robert' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Robert') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its immense deep pink double blooms open in late spring and early to mid summer. The plants grow tall, so they make a bold show at the back of a bed. Edward J. Gardner bred it.

Pairs well with Orange daylily, Royal fern, and Spanish bluebell.
