Notes
Rock fern (Polystichum tsus-simense) is a fern for rock gardens, containers, shady borders, and underplanting shrubs. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil. The glossy blue-green fronds have black veins and a subtle shimmer. This tidy, evergreen fern stays small, so it suits tight spaces.
Pairs well with Lady fern, White bigleaf hydrangea, and Wood sorrel.
