Notes
Dyce's holly fern (Polystichum dycei) is a fern. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part to full shade and average moisture. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads 24 to 36 inches wide. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It never flowers, so its leafy fronds add texture to a shady spot.
Pairs well with Bergenia, Evergold sedge, and Persian violet.
Native range
Central America, South America, and Panamá.
