Notes

'Rosenkuppel' marjoram (Origanum 'Rosenkuppel') is an herb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Violet-red flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit them. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Ellagance Purple lavender, Cheddar pink, and Six Hills Giant nepeta.
