Notes

'Rovada' common redcurrant (Ribes rubrum 'Rovada') is a shrub for hedges and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Greenish-yellow flowers open in mid to late spring and again in early to late summer, and birds visit the shrub. Rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows 36 to 60 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Shrub rose, Carlton daffodil, Sedge, and Dalmatian bellflower.
