Notes

'Royal Navy' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Royal Navy') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears fragrant violet-blue flowers from early to late spring. Bees visit the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Black Parrot tulip, Rainforest Sunrise hosta, and Cinnamon fern.
