Notes

'Royal Rose' peony (Paeonia 'Royal Rose') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The medium pink, semi-double flowers are fragrant and sit one to a stem. Sturdy stems about 30 inches tall hold the blooms erect above glossy, deep green leaves.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Little bluestem, Queen of Night tulip, and Blue Mouse Ears hosta.
