Notes
'Rubromarginata' clematis (Clematis triternata 'Rubromarginata') is a vine for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Small white flowers have magenta tips, a strong scent, and a pull for butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Prune it as a group C clematis.
Pairs well with Knock Out rose, September Charm anemone, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
