Notes

'Ruby King' peony (Paeonia 'Ruby King') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, specimens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant blooms attract butterflies and bees. Hans Peter Sass bred it. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Clustered bellflower, Little bluestem, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
