Notes
'Rumba' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Rumba') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roy G. Klehm bred it. The fragrant single flowers have two rows of clear magenta red petals and open at midseason. Stems are strong, so this short plant stays upright at about 22 inches tall.
Pairs well with Swamp milkweed, Sedge, and Spanish bluebell.
