Notes

'Russi Major' peony (Paeonia 'Russi Major') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The fragrant flowers are light yellow or cream and attract butterflies and bees. Reddish stems and bluish-green foliage stay in excellent condition right up to frost.

Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Black Parrot tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
