Notes
'Ruth' magnolia (Magnolia loebneri 'Ruth') is a tree for use as a specimen. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average moisture. Pink buds open to white flowers in early to mid spring. The blooms are fragrant. It grows 15 to 20 feet tall and wide, so give it plenty of room.
Pairs well with Ice Follies daffodil, Ernest Markham clematis, Limeglow creeping juniper, and Angelique tulip.
