Notes
'Rwoods6' rose of sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Rwoods6') is a shrub for hedges and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil. It grows fast and stays erect, so it makes a tall hedge, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. You can count on it to handle drought and salt.
Pairs well with Wild bergamot, Blueberry, and Ornamental onion.
