Notes
Sakhalin spruce (Picea glehnii) is an evergreen tree for screens, specimen planting, and windbreaks. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It can reach 80 to 100 feet tall and 25 to 30 feet wide, so give it plenty of room. It does not flower, and it keeps its needles all year.
Pairs well with Gala apple, Snowberry, and Tall fescue.
Native range
Japan and Sakhalin.
