Notes

Sallow sedge (Carex lurida) is a grass for borders, accents, rain gardens, and low maintenance plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 18 to 36 inches tall and spreads 12 to 24 inches wide. Birds visit the plant. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.
