Notes

Saltmeadow cordgrass (Sporobolus eatonianus) is a grass for low maintenance plantings, ground cover, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and moist to wet, sandy soil. It tolerates salt spray, so it works well near the coast. Gardeners often use it to stabilize beach fronts, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Seaside goldenrod, Eastern baccharis, and Scarlet rose mallow.
