Notes

'Salutation' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Salutation') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type blooms hold deep pink guard petals around a yellow center in early summer. The stems are strong and the foliage is dark green. R.H. Jones bred it.

Pairs well with Orange lily, Sedge, and Miss Kim lilac.
