Notes

'Sam McGredy' rose (Rosa 'Sam McGredy') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The yellow blend blooms are fragrant and appear in late spring, summer, and early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Samuel Davidson McGredy III bred it in 1937, and the thorny, upright stems have dark green leaves.

Pairs well with Bobo hydrangea, Niobe clematis, Spurge, and Lily.
