Notes
'Sans Souci' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sans Souci') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Anemone Japanese type flowers are an unusual light violaceous pink with a center of the same color, flushed to white. The carpels are light pink. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.
Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Obedient plant, Sedge, and Picture tulip.
