Notes

Santa Fe phlox (Phlox nana) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy or clay soil. It never grows taller than 1 foot, though its height changes from year to year with the weather. The sticky leaves are small and narrow. Fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers open in white, pink, or purple and attract butterflies.

Pairs well with Blackfoot daisy, Blue grama, and Elfin mother of thyme.
