Notes

Sargent viburnum (Viburnum sargentii) is a shrub for borders, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 12 to 15 feet tall and wide at a moderate pace. White flowers attract butterflies and birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Miss Kim lilac, Sweet pepperbush, and Western sword fern.
