Notes

'Satin Rose' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Satin Rose') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, sweet scented flowers of deep rose pink open in mid to late spring. The stems bend a bit, so you may want to add support. Victor Lemoine & Sons bred it in 1931.

Pairs well with Solomon's seal, Christmas fern, Prairie dropseed, and Black Hero tulip.
