Notes

'Scarlet Flash' peony (Paeonia 'Scarlet Flash') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its single, cupped, scarlet red flowers measure 5 to 6 inches across and smell sweet. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Roger F. Anderson bred it.

Pairs well with Curly Fries hosta, Sedge, Black Hero tulip, and Sweet pepperbush.
