'Scarlet Heaven' peony (Paeonia 'Scarlet Heaven') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It is a cross between a herbaceous peony and a tree peony. Single scarlet red blooms sit on top of and around a round plant with handsome foliage.
Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Big Daddy hosta, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
