Notes
'Schwindt' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Schwindt') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Goos and Koenemann bred it in 1910. It bears large, single, amaranth pink flowers in mid to late spring. The plant spreads wide, and the flowers show well above the foliage.
Pairs well with Wild geranium, Tickseed, and Sedge.
