Notes

Sea campion (Silene uniflora) is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers. It also handles drought and salt well, so it suits a low care spot.

Pairs well with Thrift, Trailing bellflower, and Canada wild rye.
