Notes

'Sea Foam' peony (Paeonia 'Sea Foam') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The fragrant white blooms have a pinkish tinge and black flares tinged with red. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies visit the blooms, which open in spring and early summer.

Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Niobe clematis, and Greig's tulip.
