Notes
'Sea of Tranquility' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Sea of Tranquility') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows 4 to 5 feet tall and blooms in late spring with pure white, semi-double flowers that have light purple flares. Each stem carries one bud, and a plant can bear 10 to 15 blooms.
Pairs well with Nelly Moser clematis, Switchgrass, and Garlic chives.
