Notes

'Seishushiro' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Seishushiro') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. A Japanese breeder developed it. Cut stems bring the blooms indoors, and the woody frame stays in the bed from year to year.

Pairs well with Weigela, Sweet woodruff, and Blue grama.
