Notes

'Seneca Yellow Bird' peony (Paeonia 'Seneca Yellow Bird') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Its light yellow, lightly ruffled single flowers attract butterflies and bees. Dana Borglum bred it, and the sturdy upright stems carry three buds each.

Pairs well with Eastern columbine, Earth Angel hosta, Indian grass, and Smooth hydrangea.
